1. AI-generated content

Italian Wine Routes is an AI-assisted tool. Itineraries, winery descriptions, tasting notes and email templates produced by the Service are generated by large language models in response to your inputs. They are not authored by a human sommelier and should be treated as drafts to be reviewed by a qualified travel professional before use.

2. Models we use

We route prompts through the Lovable AI Gateway, which currently uses models from the Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT families. Driving logistics use the Google Maps Platform. The specific model in use may change over time as we improve quality and reliability.

3. Limitations

  • Outputs may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate (a phenomenon often called "hallucination").
  • Opening hours, availability, pricing, contact details and driving times must be verified before booking.
  • Recommendations reflect statistical patterns in training data, not the real-time preferences of any winery.
  • Outputs are not professional legal, medical, financial or oenological advice.

4. Human-in-the-loop

You are responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying every itinerary before sharing it with end clients or making reservations. Italian Wine Routes is designed to accelerate professional curation, not replace it.

5. EU AI Act

Under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the "AI Act"), Italian Wine Routes is a limited-risk generative AI system. We meet the Act's transparency obligations by clearly informing users that they are interacting with AI-generated content via this page, our marketing copy and in-app indicators. The Service is not used for any of the high-risk purposes listed in Annex III of the AI Act (e.g. biometric identification, employment, credit scoring, law enforcement).

6. Data sent to AI providers

Your itinerary inputs (regions, dates, preferences, notes) are sent to AI providers solely to generate the requested output. We instruct providers not to use your inputs to train their models. Avoid submitting personal data of your end clients beyond what is necessary to draft the itinerary. See our Privacy Policy for details on sub-processors and international transfers.

7. Reporting issues

If you encounter an output that is harmful, defamatory or factually wrong in a significant way, please contact us at hello@italianwineroutes.com so we can investigate and improve the Service.
